Public Talk by Thich Nhat Hanh, August 14, 2011

This coming August, the Buddhism and Contemporary Society program is delighted to be part of a public talk by Thich Nhat Hanh, an event made possible by the generous sponsorship of the The Tung Lin Kok Yuen Canada Foundation.

In addition, the Venerable Nhat Hanh will be holding a residential meditation retreat at UBC’s Point Gray campus, sponsored by Plum Village (**the retreat is now full and accepting names for a waiting list**). The official website for the both Vancouver events, the public talk and the meditation retreat, is www.tnhvancouver2011.org. Registration information will be posted there within the month.

Anticipating the visit, Vancouver Sun’s Douglas Todd introduces Nhat Hanh to the local community in the first of a series of articles to appear between now and the August events.
